Whether your gown has delicate fabrics, intricate ornamentation, or trimmed garments, we can handle even the most elaborate designs. And that included all types of fabrics adorned with beads, crystals and sequins. Your gown will remain exquisitely preserved forever because we employ exceptional cleaning techniques and preservation practices.
Our Technique:
Every bridal gown we care for is as individual and unique as its bride. So, ensuring the highest quality cleaning approach is crucial for impeccable results for each gown. Please rest assured that we will take the art of cleaning, preserving, and presenting your gown very seriously. All work is always done on-premises.
We possess an uncompromising attention to detail throughout the entire cleaning process. This includes pre-treating stains and soiled areas before the cleaning process begins. We then rinse and remove all stains carefully before we steam and hand-finish your gown.
Once the gown’s cleaning phase meets our strict standards, we gently fold and place your prized possession into an acid-free museum-quality preservation box. With a generous amount of acid-free tissue, your gown will be preserved and protected for a lifetime.
Benefits of Preservation:
Preservation- Prevents yellowing from the Acidic PH in the air we breathe.
Cleaning- Ensures all stains and soils have been removed which prevents stains from oxidizing over time.
Boxing- Our Museum Quality Bridal Preservation Boxes protects your gown and provides a safe and convenient way to store your gown.
Viewing- Our Preservation Boxes allow you to view your gown. You will have the comfort of seeing your gown and knowing it was meticulously cleaned and preserved.
Memory for a lifetime… treasure your gown as a family heirloom through the course of time.
What can happen to your gown if not properly cleaned and preserved:
If stains are not treated promptly and correctly, the crisp white color of bridal gowns can often turn yellow. These stains oxidize and can cause fabric damage due to their corrosive nature. Perspiration, makeup, oils, and perfume are often responsible when these fabric problems occur. Even food and drink spills, if not addressed, can attract insects thus creating additional damage.
To avoid your gown from stretching, we recommend that it be gently folded, to relieve any stress from hanging the garment in a closet. Plastic bags, wrapped containers, and vacuum-sealed bags should be avoided when storing your wedding gown. These solutions often trap moisture, which causes mold and mildew, and plastic can emit fumes that can turn the fabric yellow.
